Chorus Support
Effective date: November 2, 2026
Chorus turns podcasts and imported audio into interactive
shadowing lessons: AI subtitles with word-level highlighting, translations,
sentence explanations and Echo speaking practice.
Getting started
- Import audio from Files or Photos, or open the Podcast tab and pick a
show.
- Choose the language of the audio, then tap Enable AI Subtitles.
- Tap a word for its meaning, long-press a sentence to retranslate, copy or
explain it.
- Open the microphone (Echo) to record yourself and compare it with the
original.
Allowance and subscriptions
The free plan includes 60 minutes of AI transcription and 20,000 AI
characters per month. Subscriptions add more. Your remaining allowance is in
Settings, in the quota card, and resets on the first day of each month.
Purchases are billed through your Apple ID; after reinstalling, use
Restore Purchases on the subscription screen.
Subtitles you have already generated keep working after the allowance is
used up. Only starting subtitles for audio you have not transcribed yet
requires allowance.
Troubleshooting
- Transcription failed. Check the connection, keep the file
under 200 MB, and make sure it is longer than a few seconds.
- Subtitles look out of order. Long files are transcribed
in segments and the first one is produced first. Wait for the opening
segment, or scrub back to the start and the gaps fill in.
- A podcast will not load. Some feeds are temporarily
offline. Try another show; if one show fails for days, tell us.
- A purchase is missing. Open the subscription screen and
tap Restore Purchases. A purchase made in a sandbox or TestFlight
build is a test purchase and grants no allowance.
- Signing in does not work. If the email code never
arrives, check the spam folder; codes expire after a few minutes. Sign in
with Apple works without waiting for mail.
